Dream of Embers

It was 5:20 AM on October 20, 2021 when I was woken from a dream. I went into my office and wrote it down.

In my dream, I was in a thick green forest walking up behind a man leaning over and blowing on what seemed to be a campfire. I saw the flickering glow illuminating the area as you would see from a campfire. As I walked closer and looked around we were out in the middle of nowhere. There were no reference points to give me any indication as to where I was, but I did not feel lost.

As I got closer the man turned and motioned to me and said, “Come. Sit beside me. Lean in and look closer.” As I sat down beside him I looked down but I did not see a traditional campfire with logs or flickering flames. Instead, I saw white-hot embers, not in a pile but scattered all around the ground. When the man blew the embers would get white-hot. He looked at me again with a huge smile on his face and said, “Look closer”. When I turned my head and looked down again the embers seemed to be moving. As I watched my eye caught a single white-hot ember that was moving by itself along the ground and came to rest up against this black charred crumble of charcoal.

I continued to watch this ember for several minutes just kinda sitting there glowing and shimmering as a hot ember does, but my attention on the ember was interrupted as I saw the man get up, take a step and with his walking stick he was holding smashed it down on a larger barely glowing ember. When He did it exploded and thousands of embers shot in a hundred different directions landing in different places all over the landscape. He came and sat back down and blew down on the embers again. He looked at me again and said “Lean in and look closer”. I looked back down at the small ember that had captured my gaze before that came to rest beside the black charred crumble of charcoal, only this time the black charred crumble of coal was now a white-hot ember.

As my gaze transitioned around the landscape I saw thousands and thousands of embers moving all over the place. I looked back at the man sitting beside me in complete astonishment. The man started laughing and tears of joy started running down his face. He reached up and put his hand on my shoulder and gently pushed me closer to the embers and said “Lean in and Look a little closer”. As the words left his lips I blinked. When my eyes opened I was not in a forest anymore I was on the streets of Tampa and I saw the streets teeming with people. I was standing at trolly station #8 across the street from Amalie Arena beside Sparkman's Wharf. The man from the forest was standing beside me with his hand still on my shoulder. Through the bustling crowd of people, I started to see the flickering of a warm glowing light moving around through the crowd. Soon the glow stopped moving. The man nudged me, motioning with his head toward the glowing light, and said “Go and see”. As I pushed through the crowd towards the radiant glow I saw a small clearing in the crowd and I could see the back of a petite thin woman. As I got closer to the clearing she was sitting on the sidewalk and I could see this woman's heart beating inside her chest and as it beat it was glowing white-hot. Once I got to the little clearing in the crowd I realized the woman was holding in her arms a man. The man looked like he had just been beaten to near death. His clothes were ripped, tattered, and dirty. His face was expressionless and his skin was a dull ashy grey. He had cuts and abrasions all over his body. He lay in her arms completely limp with one hand shaking and clutching onto her clothes. As I walked around to the front of this woman I looked into her face and her face did not have one ounce of distress, nor did it carry a look of concern. All I saw was a smile and tears of joy streaming down her face. I just stood there for what seemed like hours and watched this woman rocking back and forth holding this man, my gaze locked on this woman's face. I could sense the hustle and busyness of everything going on around me but in this clearing where the woman was holding this man, there was a deafening stillness it was a peaceful and restful silence. As I listened I heard sobs coming from the man and I heard the woman whispering over him scriptures of purpose and identity.

After a while, I began to notice a faint glow of the man's heart beating in his chest. As I watched the glow became brighter and brighter. The attention of my gaze was broken as I heard the man from before calling my name. As I looked back towards Him I saw the man motioning me to come back to Him. So I pushed my way back through the crowd and stood beside him. He said, “Come let’s sit.” So we sat down on the bench of trolly stop #8 in downtown Tampa. When I sat down the man put his arm around me over my shoulders and after a few minutes the man started talking to me and this is what he said.

“Andrew, campfires flair up and come and go and after a while, there is very little evidence a fire was ever there. But an ember in a forest can burn for days and months after a fire has been extinguished. So it is the same with a person’s heart. The ember of a person's heart that is obedient to My voice is sustained and becomes white-hot through the wind of My presence. The fire I desire most is an individual heart that is burning white-hot for me. This is the nameless and faceless fire I will use to change regions. This revival is not going to be a wildfire like the revivals of the past that come for a season and then are gone with very little evidence there was ever a fire. This revival will be a revolution of the hearts of my children. This move will not be used to prop up or establish the ministry of man as I will smash them with my Rod of Iron, lay to waste, and scatter those who use my name and my presence to lift their own name above mine. This Revival will be carried through those who feel they are weak, insignificant, and unworthy. I am going to blow on the ember in those who were fatherless, motherless, depressed, addicted, insignificant, unworthy, unloved, selfish, hateful, and prideful. I am going to use them not because of who or what they know but because of the fact that they know Me and love Me above all else. I am going to blow on the ember of those who sit at my feet because they are addicted to my love and to the wind of my presence whose hearts I will make burn like a white-hot ember for me. This is how I will change the regions and nations, by one white-hot tiny ember coming in contact with a useless black piece of burnt-out charcoal. These white-hot embers will number thousands upon thousands and will change hearts one life at a time as they allow me to guide and direct them.”

As the man on the bench was talking to me he paused and nodded in the direction of the crowd. When I turned my head I saw the tattered and broken man who I last saw in the woman’s arms on the sidewalk walking towards us. He came right up to us and stood right in front of the man that was sitting beside me on the bench. He had tears in his eyes, His injuries were gone, his clothes were not torn, he was clean and his skin was soft and full of color.

He said to the man sitting on the bench: “Sir thank you so much for taking care of me back there and healing me and restoring me. I am so overjoyed to be out from under the bondage and to be able to walk in freedom. My eyes have been opened and I see things so clearly now, there is so much color and beauty all around me. Sir thank you. Thank you so much”

The man on the bench looked up at him with a huge smile on his face and said, “Son it was not me it was Jana.”

The man standing replied, “ Sir I know it was you there holding me I saw you plain as day grab me and wrap your arms around me as I was about the fall to the ground.”

Again the man on the bench replied “Son it was not me it was Jana that was holding you.”

With tears now streaming down his face, the man standing fell at the feet of the man sitting on the bench sobbing and said:

“I was lost but now I am found, I was broken and sick but now I am whole, I was depressed but now I have peace, I was a liar but now I speak truth, I was homeless and you gave me a home and a family. I do not deserve any of this.”

The man sitting on the bench placed his hands softly on each side of the man’s head and lifted his face and looking into his eyes said: “My Son, I love you. Yes! You are worthy of it all”.

The man on the bench look back at me and said. “Andrew I am going to blow on the ember of those who will say yes to Me and are Fully Given. It will not matter who they are, what they do, or the title they carry because those who are lost will only see and hear Me when the white-hot ember of those who are fully given touches their lives. I will be glorified.”
